BIO

 

     Danielle has a MFA from San Diego State University and a BFA from Auburn University. She also has her Cosmetology License and trained at the Aveda Institute. She interned as a wig maker in Tom Watson and Chuck LaPointe's shop in New York City for Newsies (Broadway), The King and I (Broadway), and Beautiful London.

     She is now working for Malmö Opera in Sweden. She has also worked many years for Royal Caribbean international as a wig stylist. She has had the pleasure of Wig Designing at Playmakers, A Noise Within in Pasedena, San Diego Repertory Theatre, San Diego Musical Theatre, Media Theatre and Auburn University. She has also worked for The Old Globe as a Wig Assistant (5 years), La Jolla Playhouse in Crafts (Side Show and Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots), Cygnet Theatre for the Lipinsky Fellowship (3 time recipient), NY Philharmonic as a shopper for Company, Utah Shakespearean Festival as a wig assistant, Dupont Theatre as wig crew, Enchantment Theatre Company as a milliner, and the University of Delaware's Professional Theatre Training Program as a Wig Master and a Costume Design Assistant. 

     She has previously taught at North Carolina School of the Arts as an Assistant Professor, at wig workshops at UNC Chapel Hill, City College of San Diego and Auburn University. Some of her classes have included “How to Make a Moustache”, “Taking a Head Mold of an Actor”, and “Wig Design as a Career”. Wig Design is her passion.
